Every year, we organize a vibrant Durga Puja celebration and provide support to the less fortunate.

During our recent blanket distribution drive, our team met a man from Bengal who was sleeping on the footpath. He had come to Bangalore looking for work, but his life had taken a painful turn. He told us that a local person had beaten him, and after that he lost his job. With no income, no shelter, and no one to turn to, he was left on the streets.

When our team spoke to him, he could not control his tears. He was not asking for money. He was only asking for a chance to live with dignity again.

Our Trust President along with our Team sat with him, listened to his story, and assured him that he would not be left alone. We promised to help him find a job and arrange a safe place for him to stay. In that moment, we saw hope return to his eyes.

This is what Utkal Welfare Trust stands for.
We do not see state, language, or background.
We see a human being in need.

A simple blanket gave him warmth, but compassion gave him strength.

We will continue to stand with people who have no one else to stand with.

***Where compassion meets action.
Utkal Welfare Trust in service tonight.***

Last night, Utkal Welfare Trust carried out a blanket distribution drive in the Hoskote area for people sleeping on footpaths and open spaces. A few of our dedicated members came together and personally distributed the blankets, spoke with the people, and tried to understand their needs beyond just warmth.

Our Trust President was also present during this service, which made the effort even more meaningful and encouraging for the team. We did not just give blankets, we gave time, respect, and human connection to those who are often ignored.

This initiative was made possible with the generous support of our donors and the commitment of our volunteers. Many of the people we met also shared their struggles and asked for other kinds of help, and we will do our best to support them in the coming days.
