FKCCI has been serving the interests of the Business community since its inception 1916, in Karnataka, India. The Chamber has had a distinguished array of businessmen and industrialists at the helm of FKCCI, establishing it as an apex organization for Industry, Trade & Service sectors in Karnataka. FKCCI has sought to promote the national interest by way of both public and private sector led, economic growth and has played a catalytic role in policy making at the State and Central level. With a century of service in commerce and industry, it is no wonder that the FKCCI stands as one of the five foremost chambers in the country apart from being the oldest parent chamber of any state in India.The Federation is a member of national bodies like FICCI, ASSOCHAM and also the International Chamber of Commerce. Being a member of global trade associations, FKCCI facilitates collaboration of trade between Karnataka`s industries and overseas enterprises, and also holds dialogues with international trade entities.

FKCCI participated in the meeting of the Kannada Rajyotsava Award Selection Advisory Committee, held under the leadership of Shri Tangadagi Shivaraj Sangappa, Hon'ble Minister for Backward Classes Welfare and Kannada and Culture.

The committee comprises experts from the fields of commerce, industry, social service, literature, folklore, sports, media, theatre, fine arts, television and cinema, dance, Kannadigas of border regions, judiciary, music, agriculture and environment, medicine, administration, cooperation, science and technology, and education. The meeting was held at Devaraja Urs Bhavan, Bengaluru.

FKCCI met and felicitated Shri Vivek Chaturvedi, Chairman, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).

Shri T. Sairam Prasad, President, FKCCI, along with Shri Sathish Nagaraj, Vice President, FKCCI; CA Raveendra S. Kore, MC Member, FKCCI; Shri B. T. Manohar, Shri Shekar and Shri Ashwin Sharma, Members, FKCCI; and other esteemed members, took part in the felicitation.

The occasion included an interaction programme with traders, entrepreneurs and representatives of various Chambers of Commerce from the Bengaluru region, addressed by Shri Vivek Chaturvedi, Chairman, CBIC, and Shri Sanjay Mangal, GST Member.

The programme enabled deliberations on the key decisions and reforms introduced at the 57th GST Council Meeting and their implications for trade, industry and the business community.
