Narthan Academy of Dance and Music NADAM - An acronym for Narthan Academy for Dance and Music was formally launched by Nandini Mehta & K Muralimohan in 1999.

The academy trains aspiring students in the classical dance forms of Kathak and Bharatnatyam and works towards the promotion and conservation of various classical dances through the annual festival Kala-Nadam. Nandini Mehta, an established danseuse proficient in the fields Kathak and Bharatanatyam, Nandini received her initial training in Bharatanatyam under renowned gurus Srimati Chandrabhaga Devi and Prof. US Krishna Rao, Guru Smt. Narmada, Guru Smt. Bhanumati. Her passion for dance attracted her to train in Kathak. She has been under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Maya Rao and Smt. Chitra Venugopal of NATYA Institute of Kathak and Choreography ( NIKC) Bangalore. She pursued her training in Kathak from Maulik Shah and Ishira Parikh, Ahmedabad. Nandini holds a degree in Choreography from NIKC. Murali Mohan, an established Kathak exponent has created ripples in the art circles.He is a senior disciple of Guru Shri Dharmashi Shah, Padmashree Guru Kumudini Lakhia, and Pt. Arjun Mishra. Nandini Mehta & Murali Mohan are the founder directors of NADAM, Bangalore. They impart training in Kathak to aspiring students from India and abroad.

Get ready for a celebration of young talent! Chinna Kalanadam, the premier children’s arts festival hosted by Nadam, is officially opening its doors for applications.

If you are a young performer aged 13 or below, this is your stage to shine. Whether you’re a solo powerhouse or part of a dynamic group, we want to see your artistry!

Application Details
Age Limit: 13 years and below.
Categories: Solo and Group performances are both welcome.
Process: Registration is via Google Form only (scan the QR code in our bio/slides).
Important: Only one form should be submitted per institute.

Limited Slots
To ensure a high-quality experience for all participants, we are only accepting the first 150 applications for the auditions. Slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t wait!
