REPORT ON THE INAUGURATION OF NETAJI SUBHAS CHANDRA BOSE STATUE

Venue: Badarpur Ghat

On the auspicious occasion of the 80th Independence Day of India, Badarpur Sanskritik Mancha organized a memorable programme at Badarpur Ghat for the inauguration of the statue of the legendary freedom fighter and great nationalist leader Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, N.F. Railway, Badarpur District Association proudly participated in this historic and inspiring programme. The Scouts and Guides presented a disciplined and impressive band display during the inauguration ceremony, adding a sense of dignity, patriotism and grandeur to the entire event.

The melodious tunes of the band and the disciplined participation of the Scouts and Guides created a deeply patriotic atmosphere among the gathering. Their performance reflected the core values of the Scouting movement—discipline, service, unity, leadership and love for the nation.

The installation of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's statue at Badarpur Ghat is a proud and historic moment for the people of Badarpur. Netaji's courage, sacrifice, leadership and immortal call of “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom” continue to inspire generations to serve the nation with dedication and courage.

The participation of the Bharat Scouts and Guides in this significant occasion was not merely a ceremonial presence, but a heartfelt tribute to one of India's greatest sons. The programme concluded with a strong spirit of patriotism, unity and national pride, making the 80th Independence Day celebration truly memorable.

Report on 80th Independence Day Celebration at Area Manager’s Office, Badarpur

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, N.F. Railway Badarpur District Association, proudly participated in the 80th Independence Day Celebration held at the Area Manager’s Office, Badarpur, on 15th August 2026.

Scouts, Guides, Cubs, Bulbuls, Rovers and Rangers of the Badarpur District Association took active participation in the programme with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. Their disciplined presence, smart turnout and active involvement added a special charm to the celebration.

Report on the 80th Independence Day Celebration

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, N.F. Railway Badarpur District Association proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day at Scout Hut, Badarpur, with great enthusiasm, patriotic spirit, and a strong sense of national pride.

The celebration witnessed a huge gathering of Cubs, Bulbuls, Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers, who participated actively in various activities and programmes. The Scout Hut was filled with the spirit of unity, discipline, service, and patriotism.

The programme was graced by the presence of District Chief Commissioner Shri Virender Kumar Meena, who hoisted the National Flag with great honour. The unfurling of the Tricolour was followed by the National Anthem, creating a deeply inspiring and patriotic atmosphere.

We were also privileged to welcome our Special Guest, Madam Punam, DSC/BPB, whose gracious presence added special significance to the celebration. Her participation encouraged our young Scouts and Guides and motivated them to continue their journey of service and nation-building.

The Cubs, Bulbuls, Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers demonstrated their enthusiasm through various Scouting and Guiding activities, presentations, demonstrations and cultural programmes. Their discipline, confidence and teamwork reflected the true spirit of the Bharat Scouts and Guides.

The Bharat Scouts & Guides, N.F. Railway, Badarpur District Association proudly participated in the National Level Tribal Scout, Guide, Rover & Ranger Meet, held from 06/08/2026 to 10/08/2026.

A total of 27 participants from N.F. Railway, including 02 Unit Leaders, participated in various competitions and brought remarkable laurels to the Association.

*WORLD SCARF DAY OBSERVANCE 2026*

In connection with the celebration of _World Scarf Day 2026_, The Bharat Scouts and Guides, NF Railway, Badarpur District Association observed the day at the District hut to uphold the spirit of Scouting and Guiding worldwide. The scarf is a symbol of unity, brotherhood, and pride for all Scouts and Guides.
To mark the occasion, an *Art Competition* was organized for Scouts and Guides. The event aimed to encourage creativity, expression, and enthusiasm among members while commemorating the significance of the Scout Scarf.
A total of *80 members including Scouts and Guides* participated enthusiastically. All participants gave a tough competition with their talent and creativity.
Based on performance, the winners were selected from each section: -
1st, 2nd and 3rd positions* were decided in their respective sections.

The World Scarf Day Observance 2026 was successfully conducted. The event not only celebrated the identity of Scouts and Guides but also promoted unity, discipline, and the Scout spirit among young members of Badarpur District Association.
The program concluded with prize distribution and distribution of chocolates to all the participants and hence the event came out to be a successful one.

REPORT ON PULSE POLIO TRAINING PROGRAM

Date: 27 June 2026
Venue: Scout Hut, Badarpur

A Pulse Polio Training Programme was held on 27 June 2026 at the Scout Hut, Badarpur. The programme was organized to prepare Scout and Guide Unit Leaders for their role in the upcoming Pulse Polio Immunization Programme.

Two employees from Civil Hospital, Badarpur attended the programme as resource persons. The training session was conducted by Mr. Habibur Rahaman, who explained the objectives of the Pulse Polio Programme, the importance of polio eradication, and the correct method of administering polio drops to children. He also briefed the participants on their responsibilities during the immunization campaign and answered their questions.

A total of 50 Senior Scout, Guide, and Unit Leaders actively participated in the training programme. The session was informative and interactive, helping the participants gain the necessary knowledge and confidence to support the Pulse Polio campaign effectively.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the resource persons from Civil Hospital, Badarpur, for their valuable guidance and support.
