On 26th April 2026, the Rover Section of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, N.F. Railway Badarpur District Association, successfully organized a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Sasan Kalibari with the active participation of 17 Rovers. The programme was conducted with the noble aim of promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and social responsibility among the youth and local community.

The programme commenced with a brief gathering where the importance of cleanliness and public service was explained to all participants. After receiving necessary instructions, the Rover members started the cleanliness drive in an organized and disciplined manner. They worked with great enthusiasm and dedication, showing a strong sense of responsibility towards society and the environment.

During the service activity, the Rovers cleaned the temple premises, nearby approach roads, and surrounding open spaces. They removed waste materials, swept the entire area, and collected scattered garbage for proper disposal. Their sincere effort and teamwork transformed the surroundings into a cleaner and more pleasant place for devotees and local residents.

The cleanliness drive not only improved the condition of the area but also spread awareness among local people regarding the importance of cleanliness and environmental care. The initiative was well appreciated by the local residents and visitors present at the temple.
After completion of the service, the Sasan Kalibari Authority highly appreciated the sincere efforts and dedicated service rendered by the Rover members. They expressed their gratitude and praised the Rover Section for their commendable contribution towards society.

Report on Observation of Earth Day – 22 April 2026

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, N.F. Railway, Badarpur District Association, observed Earth Day on 22nd April 2026 with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment towards environmental conservation. The programme was organized at the Ram Krishna Mission, Badarpur, focusing on the theme “Mass Tree Plantation Drive.”

The event witnessed active participation from members across different wings of the organization. A total of 15 Scouts, 13 Guides, 10 Rovers, and 8 Rangers took part in the celebration. The programme began with a brief introduction highlighting the importance of Earth Day and the urgent need to protect and preserve our natural environment.

As part of the celebration, a mass tree plantation drive was conducted within and around the premises of the venue. Participants planted saplings and took a pledge to nurture and protect them, symbolizing their dedication to a greener and healthier planet. The activity not only enhanced awareness but also instilled a sense of responsibility among the youth towards sustainable living.

The event concluded with a message emphasizing that small collective actions can bring about significant positive change in the environment.

“The Earth does not belong to us; we belong to the Earth. Let us plant today for a greener tomorrow and protect nature as our shared heritage.”

The programme was a meaningful step towards promoting environmental awareness and encouraging eco-friendly practices among the younger generation.

Report on Celebration of 135th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on 18/04/2026.

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, NFRLY Badarpur District Association solemnly observed the 135th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar at Scout Hut, Badarpur with great respect and enthusiasm.
The programme was conducted in a dignified manner, where Cubs, and Bulbuls actively participated. The event began with a brief introduction highlighting the life, contributions, and ideals of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social justice.

Our little Cubs and Bulbuls paid heartfelt tribute to the legend leader by offering Pushpanjali (floral tribute) as a mark of respect and gratitude. Their participation reflected the spirit of unity, discipline, and respect for great leaders.

The programme concluded with a message encouraging all members to follow the principles and values of Dr. Ambedkar in their daily lives.
The entire event was conducted successfully and served as an inspiring occasion for all present.

Report on Sense Training Game for Cubs & Bulbuls

On 13th April 2026, The Bharat Scouts and Guides, NFRLY Badarpur District Association successfully organized a Sense Training Game for the Cubs and Bulbuls section. A total of 65 Cubs and Bulbuls participated enthusiastically in the activity.

The program was designed to enhance the sensory skills, observation power, and quick response abilities of the young participants through a variety of engaging and educational games. The activities encouraged teamwork, concentration, and active involvement, making learning both fun and meaningful.

The Cubs and Bulbuls showed great excitement and curiosity throughout the session. Their energetic participation reflected the true spirit of scouting and guiding. The event not only helped in developing their practical skills but also boosted their confidence and coordination.

REPORT ON ONE DAY HIKE PROGRAMME (12/04/2026)
The Bharat Scouts and Guides, N.F. Railway, Badarpur District Association

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, N.F. Railway, Badarpur District Association successfully organised a One Day Hike Programme for the Scouts and Guides section, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from a total of 85 Scouts and Guides.

The programme commenced in the morning with all participants reporting at the Scout Hut, Badarpur at 9:00 AM. The hike was formally inaugurated at 9:30 AM by Mr. Abhijit Dasgupta, HWB Scout Master, who flagged off the event and motivated the participants with his encouraging words.

The participants were divided into 10 patrols, and each patrol started their hike one after another, following the woodcraft signs, which added both adventure and learning to the activity. The hike not only tested their observation skills but also strengthened teamwork, discipline, and leadership qualities among the Scouts and Guides.

All patrols successfully reached the campsite and assembled at around 11:30 AM, where a flag ceremony was conducted with proper decorum. Following this, instructions were given for the Camp Craft Competition, encouraging participants to showcase their practical scouting skills, creativity, and teamwork.

The inspection for the Camp Craft Competition was carried out at 2:30 PM by the respected District Officials, who appreciated the efforts, discipline, and innovative ideas demonstrated by the patrols.

After the completion of the competition, all participants had their lunch together, promoting a sense of unity and brotherhood. At 3:30 PM, a lively sing-song programme was organised, where Scouts and Guides participated with great enthusiasm, reflecting the spirit of scouting.
The programme concluded with the announcement of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions in the Camp Craft Competition, recognizing the hard work and excellence of the participants.

Finally, the event came to an end with the flag lowering ceremony, marking the successful completion of the One Day Hike.

Such activities play a vital role in building character, self-reliance, and a spirit of service among young minds. The programme not only provided adventure but also strengthened the true essence of scouting — “Learning by Doing” and “Be Prepared.”

Report on Celebration of International Women’s Day

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, NFRLY Badarpur District Association celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm and respect at Scout Head, Badarpur.

The programme was organized to honor and appreciate the invaluable contribution of women in society, especially mothers, guardians, and women unit leaders. A large number of women, including mothers of students, unit leaders, and guardians, actively participated in the celebration.

Various engaging and entertaining activities were conducted during the programme. Special arrangements were made by the unit leaders to make the event lively and enjoyable. Fun games and interactive sessions were organized for the guardians, which created a joyful and energetic atmosphere.

The highlight of the programme was the felicitation ceremony, where district officials expressed their gratitude by presenting flowers and prizes to the participating guardians as a token of appreciation.
On this occasion, the Assistant District Commissioner, Suman Banerjee, delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of women’s empowerment, equality, and their vital role in shaping society.

The celebration concluded successfully with a message of respect, dignity, and empowerment for all women. The event truly reflected the spirit of Women’s Day and strengthened the bond between the organization and the community.

The The Bharat Scouts and Guides, NFRLY Badarpur District Association, successfully rendered voluntary service at Akhandao Mandali Mandir, Dharmanagar Basti, during the Annual Function of the Mandir.

Our services were carried out on 14th and 15th March 2026. The key responsibilities undertaken included:

A total of 55 Scouts, Guides, and Unit Leaders actively participated in this service activity. Their discipline, teamwork, and dedication ensured the smooth and successful management of the event.

This service reflects the true spirit of scouting—“Service to Others”—and was highly appreciated by the organizers and devotees.

On 30/03/2026, The Bharat Scouts and Guides, N.F. Railway, Badarpur District Association organized a cleanliness drive at Badarpur Railway Colony.

During the programme, Scouts cleaned statues using water and also cleaned the surrounding areas. A total of 24 Scouts actively participated in this activity.

The statues cleaned were:

Subhas Chandra Bose statue at GRP Colony, Badarpur
Rabindranath Tagore statue at Children Park
Swami Vivekananda statue at Buddha Colony, Badarpur.

The drive aimed to promote cleanliness and social responsibility among the Scouts.
