Tarun Shahhanj aka Tarun Shahani is a Goa based Dj & Music Producer and one of the pioneers of the Indian Electronic Music scene. He played an integral part in the formation of the dance music scene in the 90’s & 2000’s from djing at legendary venues like Raspberry Rhinocerous, Blue Frog & Aurus to headlining festivals like Sunburn, Go:madras, Satellite festivals & at the legendary Hilltop. He has Worked as an MTV VJ , RED FM Radio Producer & now is a Music Producer for Films & TV.

Tarun’s musical talents also extend to the realm of sound design and composition for various artistic mediums. Collaborating on numerous Feature films, documentaries, Commercials for Major International Brands, to art installations, he has created captivating soundscapes and memorable scores that add depth and emotion to visual narratives, immersing audiences in the world of sound and vision.

Thu, 6th Aug | Our monthly gathering with Nariyal Paani returns this Thursday.🫂🌴

Joining us is Masta Justy, one of the people who helped lay the foundations for India's alternative club scene. As a producer, DJ and co-founder of Bhavishyavani Future Soundz, he's spent decades following curiosity wherever it leads, and his sets reflect exactly that.

Meet us in the courtyard from 9PM. We'll head into the Sound Room later.

Fri, 7th Aug | This week's Sound Room Session brings together two selectors.‼️

Based in Berlin, Michail aka O***m Hum / Hyper Real has spent years contributing to the city's underground, both behind the decks and behind the scenes through institutions like CTM Festival, Berghain and Boiler Room.

His sets are thoughtful and expansive, taking their time while keeping the floor close.

Back to warm up the room is Spacejams Yohann Jamsandekar , returning to the Sound Room after a while away. His broad taste and instinctive approach behind the decks always make for a good start to the evening.👽

Sat, 8th Aug | Back with another carefully picked guest, this edition of AAGUU Invites features Jonathan Kusuma 🥁

This time with Jonathan Kusuma, whose name has become synonymous with Southeast Asia's underground over the last decade.

Between running Dekadenz in Jakarta, holding down residencies in Singapore and releasing music on labels like Cocktail d'Amore and I'm a Cliché, he's built a sound that's entirely his own - dark, playful and always keeping dancers on their toes.🌀

Closing the season for our favourite neighbourhood bar Bonobo, Anjuna with a true dancefloor veteran funkassassin 👽

funkassassin is the Afro / Disco / Bass avatar of DJ Amul, who honed his craft as a resident at Mumbai’s legendary Zenzi & Zenzi Mills (2007–2011). Known for his flawless technical skills, impeccable track selection and infectious energy, he’s been a trusted name behind the decks for nearly two decades.

Since debuting as Funk Assassin in 2014, he’s played festivals and stages including Monkey Radio India’s Bass Sanskriti, the Essential Reggae & Bass Festival, Bacardi NH7 Weekender, the Colombo Jazz & Blues Festival in Sri Lanka, Orchid Music Gala in Sikkim and the Ranthambhore Music & Wildlife Festival.

Expect a night of Afro grooves, disco gems, heavyweight bass and feel-good energy as we wrap up the Bonobo season with one last dance. 🌴🪩

Last gig Bonobo, Anjuna before they reopen for the season. It will be an extremely special one !!!!

Making his Nariyal Paani debut, Ju-Ju is the electronic alias of Argentine producer, sound engineer and guitarist Julián Carrara. Born in Argentina and now based in Madrid, his sound sits at the intersection of jungle, breakbeat, IDM, acid, glitch and Latin American rhythms, stitched together with a playful lo-fi aesthetic and infectious energy.

A member of the Latin American alternative bands Candeleros and I Have Problemas, Ju-Ju now delivers hybrid live sets that fuse DJing with live hardware, improvised synths and drum machines into an ever-evolving dancefloor experience. With acclaimed releases including the Kebradito EP and performances across Europe, Latin America and Africa, he’s quickly become one of the most exciting names in leftfield electronic music.

Hola! Despertar! We’r thrilled to announce that after months of planning, finally CANDELEROS Band Caribbean Psychedelia the band has arrived in India to shake things up 🐳

First up BOMBAY - it’s our first collab with Bonobo, Bandra with an evening CANDELEROS Band Caribbean Psychedelia because Live music Is Everything! Enough said - Bombay show up! Coz you don’t want to regret later !!

Next up, we had to bring these wild animals to GOA and what’s better than shenanigans at Hideaway

CANDELEROS ❤️
is a Spanish/South American sextet based in Madrid that oozes Caribbean sounds, especially Afro-Venezuelan and Afro-Colombian. They are a project that believes in infusing traditional sounds with various forms of musical experimentation resulting in a psychedelic ritual guided by the trance of percussion, drum machines, guitar melodies, and synthesizers.

Special shout out to Kevin Lobo and Kenneth Lobo for making this happen 💕

Making his Nariyal Paani debut - 8-Bit Culprit brings a playful, off-centre approach to the floor—stitching together peak-time grooves, leftfield electronics and rhythms that never quite sit where you expect them to.

Alongside him, Bastel aka Bastel Recipe For Mess digs through 30 years of dance music history, connecting driving ’90s percussion, rolling psychedelia and those fleeting, magical moments that make you look up from the dancefloor.

We return to our old den - Bonobo Anjuna this Friday with another beautiful evening soirée.

This edition, we invite Ameya Malkan aka Ameya with his special sauce on the decks. Known for his melodic flair and raw low-end energy, immersive, open-format journeys—equal parts groove, grit, euphoria, and contemplation—built for the dancefloor and beyond.

Nariyal Paani returns to - with old friends from to celebrate May Day :)

Presenting Maestros and on the decks.

One of oldest core member of the Bhavishyavani Future Soundz, has been creating culture since the late ‘90s in France inspired by the Detroit electronic scene. Since then, he’s been playing alongside electronic music legends, bringing a unique groove-focused, hybrid live/DJ style to the Indian electronic scene. He’s famous for marathon performances, blending techno, electro, and funk, and has worked on various digital art projects as well.

Joining him is the prodigal Masta Justy, co-founder of Bhavishyavani Future Soundz, a music producer, DJ and - sound artist. His mind-bending DJ style delivers unabashed emotion, narcotic pulses and filthy grooves in equal measure. He has performed alongside artists as diverse as Phon.o, Parra for Cuva, Onra, Flako, My Nu Leng, Engine Ears, Mike Shannon, the list goes on.
