Mahesh Sound, one of Ahmedabad’s most respected names in professional audio, has strengthened its touring setup with the addition of the Yamaha Rivage PM3 Digital Mixing System. Known for delivering high-quality sound at large-scale events, the team wanted a system that offered exceptional audio performance, reliability, and ease of operation, all within a compact footprint.
As Mahesh Sound continued to manage large-scale concerts and touring events across Gujarat, the team needed a mixing solution that could combine top-tier sound quality with efficiency and portability. Their existing setup required extensive space and time for logistics, making it less practical for frequent touring. They were in search of a system that delivered flagship-level performance, reliability, and flexibility — but in a compact format that could adapt quickly to dynamic event environments.
After careful evaluation, Yamaha’s Rivage PM3 emerged as the perfect choice. “We invested in the Rivage PM Series because of its high-quality sound, advanced effects, and reliability,” said Mr. Mahesh, owner and Mixing Engineer at Mahesh Sound. “The compact footprint of the PM3 was ideal for our events, giving us the same power and flexibility we’ve experienced with higher Rivage models like the PM10 and PM5, but in a more accessible form factor. It delivers the same headroom, clarity, and performance that Yamaha is known for.”
The configuration includes 1x Yamaha CS-R3 control surface, 1x DSP-RX mix engine, 1x HY144D-SRC audio interface card, and 2x Rio3224-D2 I/O racks. At the core of the system, the Yamaha DSP-RX engine powers 144 inputs, 72 mix outputs, and 36 matrix buses, supported by premium plug-ins from Rupert Neve Designs and Bricasti. Signal flow between the stage and console is managed through Dante networking, ensuring seamless connectivity and minimal latency throughout the setup. Both the DSP-RX and Yamaha Rio3224-D2 units feature redundant power supplies, ensuring unmatched reliability for demanding touring environments.
With the Yamaha Rivage PM3, Mahesh Sound now delivers consistent, studio-grade sound across every venue, from corporate shows to large-scale music festivals. The system’s compact form factor and seamless Dante connectivity have streamlined setup time, reduced transport complexity, and improved overall workflow efficiency.
