The 18th Rubinstein Piano Competition! | April-May 2026

The unqualified success of our first three Competitions led, in 1980, to the creation of the Arthur Rubinstein International Music Society. These contests were recognized as having added significantly to the development of Israel's cultural life and also received worldwide acclaim as an important musical manifestation at the international level. Objectives:


• to continue the development of t

he Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, Tel Aviv
• to award scholarships to talented pianists selected for entry into the Competition
• to award a special prize in the name of Arthur Rubinstein
• to promote the artistic careers of the Competition laureates
• to establish the Arthur Rubinstein Chair in the Art of the Pianoforte at a university or music academy
• to issue and distribute our publications, films, video and CD productions as well as to hold exhibitions and lectures on Rubinstein’s life and art
• to initiate and organize worldwide dedicatory "Hommage a Rubinstein" recitals, concerts and international festivals of the great art of the piano


ההצלחה האדירה של שלושת התחרויות הראשונות, הובילה ב-1980 להקמתה של עמותת ארתור רובינשטיין הבינלאומית למוסיקה. ארועים אלו תרמו באופן משמעותי להתפתחות חיי התרבות בישראל, ולהכרה בין לאומית רבת חשיבות.

מטרות העמותה:
ארתור רובינשטיין ויעקב (יאשה) ביסטריצקי פיתוח התחרות הבינלאומית לפסנתר ע"ש ארתור רובינשטיין בתל אביב
הענקת מלגות לפסנתרנים כישרוניים אשר נבחרו להשתתף בתחרות
הענקת פרס מיוחד על שמו של ארתור רובינשטיין
קידום הקריירה האמנותית של חתני הפרסים בתחרות
הוצאה לאור ופרסום של סרטים, קטעי וידאו ותקליטורים וכן הפקת תערוכות
והרצאות בנושא חייו של ארתור רובינשטיין ואמנותו
ארגון רסיטלים, קונצרטים ופסטיבלים בינלאומיים שיוקדשו לאמנות הגדולה של הפסנתר
קידום אמנות הפסנתר ברחבי העולם
