המרוץ משלב ריצה אורבנית לצד ריצה בשדות ובמטעים, ריצה עממית לצד ריצה תחרותית, משפחות לצד יחידים.
המרוץ מאתגר את רצי 10 ק"מ ומשמש כמבחן לרצי החצי מרתון.
המרוץ המושקע ברמת השרון הינו מהמרוצים הגדולים והבולטים בישראל ויתקיים, זו השנה ה-21, ביום שבת ה-12.11.22.
המרוץ מאורגן ע"י זהבה שמואלי לזכרו של בנה, אייל.
אייל שמואלי ז"ל יצא לבילוי עם חבריו לפני
שלוש עשרה שנים ולא שב. רגע לפני שעלה לשיר על בימת הקריוקי, בעודו מחייך לחבריו, התמוטט ונדם ליבו.
מרוץ אייל מהווה אירוע הנצחה ההולם את דמותו של אייל אשר אחד מתחביביו הבולטים היה ספורט הריצה והאירוע מבטא את דרך חייו.

Eyal Run, in memory of Eyal Shmueli Z"L, is a leading event among the Israeli running arena. The event combines running in an urban and nature environment, competitive and non-competitive atmosphere, families along singulars. The run challenges the 10K runners and serves as an assessment for the half-marathon runners. The distinguished event in Ramat Hasharon is amongst the biggest and most prominent runs in Israel and will take place, for the 21st year, on Saturday, November 12th, 2022. The event is organized by Zehava Shmueli in memory of her son, Eyal. Thirteen years ago Eyal Shmueli Z"L went on a night out with friends from which he did not return. A brief moment before he went up to sing on the Karaoke stage, as he was smiling to his friends, his heart failed and stopped. Eyal Run appropriately commemorates the image of Eyal, to whom running served as a dominant hobby, and the event portrays his way of living.
