In 2017 on an mctc end of season night out i announced I was going to bring back
Never one to back out of a challenge I got to work and through the amazing friends I have I secured brilliant sponsors.
Every year I tried to out do the year previous and each and every year this race has gotten better and better.
Standing at the finish area yesterday and watching everybody chatting, smiling and proud of themselves is all I ever wanted to achieve.
But after 7 years of really hard work I have decided to step away as Race Director. I know alot of people will be shocked but it's time, and we went out on high yesterday after another successful event.
I wanted my last year to be special so we chose to be the charity to receive this year's profits. A very worthy charity that helps so many children.
I just want to thank everyone that has helped me continuously over the years, from sponsors, who are the best group and all go over and beyond to help. .national.school for always allowing us use the facilities to hold the event. for always letting us use the facilities for the swim.
My Parents, my children, nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends who always do what they can and dealing with my stressed head race week.
Lastly to my husband this event wouldn't be what it is without you. We as a team are unstoppable, always aiming higher, I thank you for being my sidekick and stress pillow the last 7 years, love you ❤️
