Our drama teacher Erin Hogan is in Chess the musical with Enniscorthy Musical Society which opens tonight. Some tickets are still available. A show not to be missed! ⭐️

♟ Choose Your Player; Meet The Arbiter♟

Taking on the role of the coldly objective, no-nonsense referee and President of the International Chess Federation is Erin Hogan.

"Erin has been performing on stage since the age of three and is no stranger to the limelight. She has competed in the amateur drama festival circuit with Gorey Little Theatre Group and Kilrush Drama Group, earning a Best Upcoming Actress nomination for Dolly West’s ‘Kitchen’ and a Best Actress nomination for ‘The Beatitudes’. She won several awards for her role as Lydia in Kilrush’s All-Ireland winning production of ‘Hooked’.

Erin has appeared in numerous plays with Gorey Little Theatre Group and performed in many musicals with Performing Arts Stage School Avoca, Gorey, Carnew and Avonmore Musical Societies, NWMT, and Striking Productions. Most recently, she played Ernestina Money in Hello Dolly (CMS, Nov 2025) Notable past roles include Laurey in ‘Oklahoma!’ (Carnew MS, AIMS Best Actress nomination, 2019) and Elsa in Gorey MS’s AIMS award-winning ‘The Sound of Music’ (2022).

During lockdown, she achieved her Grade 8 in Musical Theatre with an Excellence Award nomination under Chris Currid. Erin holds a First Class Honours Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care and has taught performing arts to children for over 24 years. She currently co-runs Gorey’s “Réaltíní” Stage School for children aged 3–12.:"
