Playing for your country is a childhood dream for many kids. Pulling on the green of Ireland , in any sport , was certainly an aspiration of mine. At 46 and living with Parkinsons, I had long buried that thought.
Until today….
Some men my age , might only wear a full football kit for a stag party , where their friends will rip him for the weekend calling him “a full kit w**k*r “.
So if you want to call me a w**k*r today, I don’t mind in the slightest, cause today I represent my country, get to wear a green Irish Football jersey and kit, get to walk out on the pitch with friends and teammates who like me are living with Parkinsons!

Life is not always straightforward, so when an opportunity comes your way, don’t procrastinate, don’t hesitate, don’t doubt yourself…. Just go for it.
