🌾 From our farms to your table! 🧀🍞
The IFA Food From Our Farms exhibition was a wonderful celebration of the quality, variety and passion behind local food production at this year’s Tinahely Show.
Visitors enjoyed a fantastic selection of home-grown and locally produced foods, including freshly baked breads and cakes, cheeses, eggs, fruit, sausages, jams, jellies, relishes, marmalades and refreshing fruit drinks. There was something to tempt every taste—and plenty of inspiration for enjoying the very best of Irish produce. 🍓🥚🍰
A huge thank you to all the exhibitors, producers and volunteers who made the exhibition such a success. Supporting local food means supporting our farming families, our rural communities and the future of Irish agriculture. 🇮🇪

🌳 A TREE FOR THE FUTURE OF TINAHELY SHOW 🌳

A very special moment for the Tinahely Show as Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Martin Hayden planted the very first tree in our new Tinahely Show Green Charter plan. 🌱

This beautiful native Irish oak marks the beginning of an ambitious commitment: to plant an acre of native trees on the Show Field site by 2030. 🌳🌳🌳

It’s about creating a greener, more biodiverse Show Field for future generations — providing habitat for wildlife, improving the landscape and leaving a lasting positive legacy for our community and our Show.

A huge thank you to VanDerWel Nurseries for generously sponsoring this magnificent native Irish oak and helping us get our tree-planting journey off to such a wonderful start. 💚

And thank you to Minister Heydon for joining us to plant the first tree — we hope it will be the first of many!

🌱 One tree today. An acre by 2030. A greener Tinahely Show for generations to come. 🌱

🐾 BREAKING NEWS FROM THE TINAHELY DOG SHOW! 🐾
On Monday, Fairwood Park was taken over by a pack of four-legged superstars — from perfectly groomed pooches and obedient overachievers to sporting terriers, handsome retrievers and one or two dogs who clearly believed they were there to judge us! 🐶👑
There were wagging tails, proud owners, fancy outfits and enough canine charisma to fill the whole showground. The Best Dog in Fancy Dress and Dog You Would Most Like to Take Home classes certainly proved that Tinahely’s dogs have more style, personality and star quality than most of us! 🎩🕶️✨
A huge congratulations to all the winners and every dog who entered — you were all very good dogs… even the ones who refused to sit! 😂

What a brilliant day in the sheep section at the Tinahely Show 2026! 🐑

A huge well done to all of our exhibitors who travelled from near and far to take part. The quality of sheep on display was outstanding, and the standard of competition across the classes was a credit to everyone involved. It’s always great to see so much passion, dedication and pride on show, with experienced exhibitors and young handlers alike making the day so special.

Congratulations to some of our featured winners:

🏆 Young Handler Award (Class 169) – A massive congratulations to Rian O’Connor (aged 6) on winning this year’s Young Handler Award. Pictured with Rosemary Greene (AIB sponsor) and judge John O’Toole. It’s fantastic to see such young talent and enthusiasm coming through, and we wish Rian every success in the future.
