Broadmeadow Linear parkrun #35

It was a quiet one in Broadmeadow Linear today with just 35 participants for our 35th event 😆😆 (I believe there were few over in River Valley parkrun for their 7th Irish Polish Friendship parkrun, which looked like a great event, well done to all involved)

We had a few new faces and some new PBs too 👏 Gavin Nulty & Jennifer Downes joined us for their first parkrun. Hope you enjoyed it and it will be the first of many ☺️

Our first 3 male finishers were Oran Finegan, Samuel Mulhare and AI O’Dowd. While Roisin McAvera, Kearns and Liz Gillmarin were our first 3 females over the line. Great performances, well done all.

Broadmeadow Linear parkrun #34

It was a wet and windy morning at Broadmeadow Linear park but it didn’t stop our regulars and volunteers from showing up and we even welcomed a few visitors!

We had a new course record set this morning by Brian Sexton who came in first in an amazing time of 16:33! This was actually after Brian started a few seconds late 😆
Brian was followed by Shane Larkin & Al O’Dowd. Well done to the three of you.

Our first female to finish was UK visitor Katie Cotton, who swiftly jumped into her volunteer role as barcode scanner as soon as she was over the line. Katie was joined by Paul who volunteered as token sorter after his run. They both have over 600 parkruns each, absolutely mind blowing, well done to you both! 😮

Sarah Rossiter and Florence Bastow were our second and third women who crossed the line this morning 👏👏👏 well done, and great to see you again.

As always, thanks sooooo much to our volunteers for taking time out of your Saturday morning to lend a hand 💜💜
