Events in Fingal

Events in Fingal The Fingal County Council Events Unit supports over 100 events a year across the County. St.

The Events Unit was established in 2010 to organise, liaise and support events happening within the County. Since the formation of the unit the number of events being held and supported annually has increase year on year. These events are organised by both the Events Unit and organisations/groups within the local community. We offer assistance to these groups by way of finance but also by identifying any risks pertaining to their event to reduce or remove the risk through proper planning of their event. As Fingal is one of the largest local authorities in the country with one of the youngest populations there is an emphasis on the growth of both tourism and industry to sustain and develop the economy. The Events Unit not only supports tourism through the Fingal Tourism Strategy and the Grow Dublin Tourism Alliance but it supports businesses in our towns and agri-business sector e.g. Patricks Day Parades, Flavours of Fingal in addition to a number of sporting and cultural events.
