Swinford Cultural Centre is a multi-purpose venue located on Station Road, Swinford. This facility is based where the Railway Station once operated – the Cultural Centre was once a goods store for CIE. The Cultural Centre is a fully accessible open space area that can accommodate over 200 people and has wifi access if desired. Some of the facilities that are provided at the Cultural centre are.


•Large drop down screen,
•Projector,
•Ability to connect to a laptop,
•DVD player connected to projector & screen,
•Podium with microphone.
•Tea making – kitchenette area with sink, fridge and Burco boiler
Since opening in 2013 a number of events have been held in the facility. These include.

Following on from information sessions held in 2025, we are delighted to announce the launch Mayo PPN’s Linkage Groups, with the first meetings being held online in May and June.

All PPN membership groups have the option of joining one or more Linkage Groups to link with a specific Mayo County Council Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) where the PPN is being represented.

Workshops will be focused on the areas of: Housing; Roads & Sustainable Travel; Climate Change & Environment; Community Integration & Recreation; and Planning & Corporate Development.

In keeping with the theme of National Biodiversity Week, we invite PPN members to the first Climate Change and Environment Linkage Group meeting on Thursday the 21st of May at 7pm.

Join like-minded community members as we work together to develop policies that can influence meaningful change across the county.
