On Saturday 26th Sept 2026 we are delighted that the “L’orfeo Barockensemble” formed by members of the L‘Orfeo Barockorchester will join us for our evening concert at St.John’s Cathedral. Their programme takes us on a whirlwind instrumental journey through Baroque Austria and Germany, featuring compositions by Telemann, Biber, Schmelzer, Buxtehude and others.

For our Saturday 26th late concert we’re excited to welcome Scottish cellist Robin Michael for a solo concert of cello suites at St.John’s Cathedral.

In addition Sligo Baroque Music Festival audiences can enjoy a lecture recital on Sunday 27th with Robin The Model, Home of The Niland Collection to hear more about the Bach Cello Suites and the Baroque cello!
