You read that right! Sligo’s most epic BATTLE OF THE BANDS is about to take place! We’re hosting our first ever Battle of the Bands on the Brees big stage this December 29th! This epic battle is open to Singer Songwriters and bands of all genres and sizes! Big prizes to be won, including some paid gigs . Hosted by Dean Mahon & Rory O’Dowd. Express your interest to enter @ [email protected] - Entrants must include their band name, genre, number of members and instruments types / singers.
Entry will be €2 to spectate, with €2 earning you one vote toward your band of choice! Extra votes at €2 a piece, and all money goes toward the prize with a big donation from Brees! We can’t wait to host such an epic show and help push new music and up and coming artists!. What can I say... 64 musicians across 20 bands in exactly 12 hours - you are all an absolute credit to yourselves and each other. Thanks to every single one of you. Everyone played brilliant sets, timed them down to the minute and you supported each other from start to finish. The crowd were amazing all day and night, (well done to the few who made it through the whole thing 😀). Thanks to Dale and all the Swagman staff for hosting us again, no better venue for the festival. Thanks to Christy and Alan for the help setting up in the morning and to everyone who bought wristbands to support the acts. Lastly thanks to the legend Casper for his unbelievable work on sound, an absolute rock and a pleasure to work with every time.
