BOB X Dart Tournement Bob X Dart Tournament He arrived a stranger but became part of the fabric of his adopted local community and was highly regarded by all who knew him.

He was affectionately known as Bob X the darts man with the brown shoes, 57 years old Bob Alexander was a native of Alnwick Newcastle, who came to Ballisodare Sligo on holidays and never left. He was also one of the most accomplished darts players in the country. A gifted stonemason by profession Bob worked in Germany and Jersey before coming to Ballisodare with friends. He twice qualified for the

prestigious Lakeland qualifiers .partictparting as the Winmau World Masters as a result and getting through a number of rounds. Bob was a member of the Sligo county team which won the All Ireland seven a side in Tramore in the early 2000`s and was on The Ship Inn team which captured the Connacht Cup in Walsh's of Charlestown. Another highlight was when he played PDC professional Lionel "The Lion"Sams at a tournament in Blacklion and beat the favourite 3-2 in the semi-final. Away from the dartboard he was a member of the "Trampas" band in Newcastle, where he played lead guitar and also played locally.
