AT-LANTIS AT LAND presented by Stephanie Lamprea, Alistair MacDonald, Sherkin Tonal Choir, Jesse Jones, Alison Conneely and Sara Murphy

This year, Open Ear Festival marks its tenth anniversary with its most ambitious commission to date.

At-Lantis at Land is a large-scale, site-specific performance work for Sherkin Island, inspired by Maya Deren’s 1944 experimental film At Land — a dream-like meditation on identity, landscape, and the body washed ashore.

The work brings together soprano Stephanie Lamprea, visual artist Jesse Jones, textile artist Alison Conneely, sound artist Alistair MacDonald, maker Sara Murphy, and the Sherkin Tonal Choir in a piece that crosses sound, visual art, textile, and live performance. It is created in partnership with TU Dublin’s BA in Visual Arts programme.

At-Lantis at Land premieres on 31 May 2026 at Silver Strand Beach, Sherkin Island, as part of Open Ear Festival 2026.

OE26 NEW ADDITIONS! 💥 💥

We’re massively hyped to announce our final performances for 2026, all of which are Irish debuts!

EX LIBRIS 🫆 Dave Huismans presents ex_libris. The man behind A Made Up Sound and 2562 returned last year as ex_libris, ushering in some of his finest productions to date, immersive strands of leftfield house and off-the-grid grooves that blew us away recently at Rewire festival in Den Haag.

EOMAC AND SAINT ABDULLAH 🌀 Iranian-Canadian brothers Mohammad and Mehdi Mehrabani-Yeganeh unite with Irish producer Ian McDonnell in a transcontinental collaboration bridging cultural and geographical divides. “We exist to test the revolutionary possibilities within sound and sonic storytelling, as a means to finding a vision of the future and for building cultural dialogue today.”

ONE LEG ONE EYE & SMOTE 👀 - Ian Lynch & George Brennan come together with UK’s Smote for a very rare collaborative performance blending psychedelia, drone, trad and motorik rhythms. Gonna get heavy!

RABIH BEAINI 🦾 - aka Morphosis, Ra.H - this will be the first time Irish audiences are to be treated to a Dj set from the lauded Lebanese techno experimentalist

Cafe OTO, Dalston, London

Tickets: £14 / £12 members - link in bio!

Ireland's acclaimed Open Ear Festival brings an evening of boundary-pushing sonic exploration to Cafe OTO presenting three distinctive voices from the Irish experimental music scene: Irish post rock / trad  group Trá Pháidín, industrial pop duo 7of9, and experimental dub producer t-woc.

Open Ear has been hailed as one of the foremost purveyors of Ireland's thriving underground music landscape, and in what will be its first time presenting a show in London, it offers a rare opportunity to experience the innovative spirit that has made the festival a vital platform for Irish experimental artists.

Presented in partnership with Ensemble Music, and with support from Culture Ireland
