The wait is over, and registrations for the are officially OPEN! πŸŽ‰πŸŒŠ

This year, the campaign will be once more supported by CULLY & SULLY. The Big Beach Clean is an annual call to action as part of the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC), operated internationally by Ocean Conservancy. This call to action invites communities and volunteers around the country to remove litter from around the Irish coast after the end of the bathing season.

Last year, thanks to the incredible dedication of over 10,000 volunteers, 500 clean-up events took place, and a staggering 63 tonnes of litter were removed from beaches all across the country. πŸ™ŒπŸ’š Let's set the bar even higher this year and make an even greater impact together! πŸŒβ™»οΈ

These volunteers also had an opportunity to be involved in a worldwide citizen science project by collecting information on the litter found during the clean-up, which was used by to inform our campaigns during the year, and was also sent to Ocean Conservancy.

Once more, An Taisce National Spring Clean are joining the initiative to invite people to join, no matter how far from the coast, to make a difference for our ocean by tackling marine litter at its source.

Don't miss this incredible opportunity to join forces with like-minded individuals and play an active role in safeguarding our coastline. Register here: https://cleancoasts.org/our-initiatives/big-beach-clean/
