The club would like to wish Shane Lee Chairman and Founder member the very best of luck in the upcoming local elections. This gentleman is the reason that we have Horse and Pony Racing with a family fun day and the one that attracks a huge crowd the famous Donkey Derby.

The chap works morning, noon and night to make such a successful event happen the last three years without him it just could not be done.

Community at heart👌 pride of place 👌 dignity👌 responsibility and it goes on all for the betterment of our town.

We are so glad that we were in a position to help Conor Doherty & Ebony Staunton the parents of Odhran who is currently going through treatment at the age of Two.

This little man is an absolute warrior, the committee want to wish Odhran the very best.

Today club chairperson Shane Lee met up with the family to make a donation on behalf of the club of €300. Conor & Ebony were so so thankful it meant the world to them for the support from our club & others in our very unique little town.

Well that is a rap for this year. What can we say only wow, one of the best days at the Pony racing so far and we hope you all really enjoyed the day as much as we did.

To all the jockeys of the Donkey Derby huge respect and thank you to you all for your bravery and skills. To your sponsors we just cannot thank you enough for what ye do by doing this for the committee. The amount of fun this has brought everyone in the past few weeks is just fantastic and we all really enjoyed it.

This day just would not be possible without the business people who supported us by taking and add on our card, massive thank you to you all .

Thanks so much to the Maher & Comerford family for the use of a magnificent field again this year we just cannot thank you enough.

Few things to note for tomorrow!!

1 - Field is ready to go we ask you to respect the landowner and not to throw rubbish around bins will be provided on site.

2 - Only people who produce disabled parking cards will be allowed onto the field.. There is car parking directly across from the field it's self ( Easy Access ).

3 - First race starts at 2pm sharp do we advise get there early as big crowds expected.

4 - The Donkey Derby is for the twelve local pubs (( NO OTHER DONKEYS ALLOWED).

We hope you have have a very enjoyable day, BBQ on the day also.

No dog show ununfortunately!!

The real question is who will win the Donkey Derby?? Sorry we couldn't get Dan Moloney & Lorcan Riordan to interview!!
