Our services include Meals on Wheels and an Active Age Day Centre, with door-to-door minibus transport for clients.

The Community Services Programme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht and is managed by Pobal. The service offers:
Day Activities
4 Course Meal
Laundry Facilities
External Trips organised
Meals on Wheels

The Day Care Activities include Painting Classes, Arts & Crafts, Creative Writing and Woodturning Workshops. Meals are available at the Centre from Monday to Friday at 1pm and meals can be delivered to cover 7 days per week. We participate in the Go For Life Exercise Programme through Roscommon Sports Partnership twice a year. Information Sessions are held on Rights & Entitlements e.g. Making a Will, Benefit & Grants & Entitlements. Day trips include locations such as Knock Shrine, Bealtaine Festival, Glencar Waterfall, Strokestown House, and places of historic interest! We also arrange private cinema viewings two or three times a year. We participate in the National Positive Aging Week with Age Action Ireland. In December, we have flower arranging and encourage members to create their Christmas Decorations and Table floral arrangements. We also help them design Christmas Cards and other stationery. The Service operates from St Ronan’s Community Centre, Keadue. Transport to and from the centre is also provided.

💪🎶 Keeping active and having fun!
Our Active Age members had another great chair exercise session with Charlene from Roscommon Sports Partnership. Always great to get moving, have a bit of fun, and even have the music adjusted to their choice! 🎵😊

💜💜 Remembering Michelle 💜💜
It is with great sadness that we remember our dear friend, Michelle O’Neill, who passed away suddenly.
Although Michelle was one of our newest members and had only been part of our Active Age Centre for a short time, she quickly became a much-loved part of our Mo Chairde family. Her presence, her smile and the time we shared with her will be remembered with great fondness.
Our thoughts and prayers are especially with our chef, Darren, Michelle’s brother, and with all of her family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
Michelle may have only been with us for a short while, but she certainly left a lasting impression. She will be missed and fondly remembered by us all. 💜💜
May she rest in peace. 🕊️
