€5,790 was raised by the Kildare's for the Niall Mahon Benefit Fund. We would like to thank all those listed below for providing prizes for our auction.
Niall Mahon ( pictured below), who comes from Dromone, spent time working in Kildare Foxhounds as Whipper In and continued to go on and work in Hunt Service for the Ballymacads, Morepeth and Cotswolds in England & then returned to Ireland to become Huntsman of The Westmeath Foxhounds. A very quiet, gentle spoken man, he is now a 39 year old father of 3 living in Mullingar who was diagnosed with Cardiac Sarcoidosis in 2023. Since then, Niall has undergone extensive treatment. Despite medical advice, he has continued to work, when possible, to support his young family. Unfortunately, the disease has advanced, leaving Niall unable to work and needing further treatment, which will be ongoing for life.
