π A lovely way to finish Community Games 2026! π
Last night gave us one final chance to celebrate some of the brilliant achievements of our children this year.
We were delighted to be joined by Emma Muldoon, our U14 Long Puck National Champion, who proudly showed us her very well-deserved gold medal. π₯
We were also very proud to welcome back our U14 Girls Camogie Team, who had such a fantastic run this year and finished as All-Ireland Silver Medallists. π₯
The girls represented Portumna brilliantly throughout the competition, progressing all the way to the National Final and missing out on gold by the narrowest of margins after a hugely competitive game that went to extra time. Their teamwork, determination and commitment throughout the year were a credit to them, and it was lovely to have the team together again last night to recognise what they achieved. π
Emma was, of course, part of that camogie team too, making her own Community Games year even more memorable.
Along with our U13 Contemporary Dance Team performing in The Square, it made for a really special evening of celebration.
We finished the night with some treats for the children and one final get-together before saying goodbye to Community Games 2026. ππ
A huge well done once again to every child who took part this year, and to all the families, coaches and volunteers who supported them along the way.
What a year for Portumna Community Games! π
