Sheep Expo is the first event of its kind and will be of interest to
everyone involved in the sheep industry, including students, farmers,
veterinarians, policy makers and merchants. The event comprises of three components: Morning Session - Technical talks and workshops aimed at giving delegates a wide range of technical information about flock health related issues. Afternoon Session - The event

will move to the Irish Farmers Journal’s Tullamore Farm in County Offaly, where the focus will be on flock health issues and a run down on the performance of the IFJ Sheep Flock. Evening Session - Delegates will have the opportunity to view posters relating to the most recent sheep research topics and interact with the researchers. The poster session will be followed by a Gala Dinner, FBD LambPlus Awards Ceremony and an after dinner speaker. There is 5 Industry partners working together to organise this event; Teagasc, Sheep Ireland, The Department of Agriculture, The Farmers Journal and Bord Bia.

Visitors at the Sheep 2025 Open Day explored exhibits, including sheep shearing, breed displays, and interactive activities, all while enjoying a lively and educational atmosphere.

The FBD Five-Star Ram Lamb LambPlus Classes were a unique opportunity for farmers to see the best genetics from each breed going head-to-head. The Classes took place at Sheep 2025, Teagasc, Athenry on Saturday, June 21st, 10 am.
