The Very Curious Céilí is a heartwarming and moving gig-theatre experience set in the private room of a busy, vibrant care home. At its centre are Eve, an elderly woman in the final stages of cognitive decline, and her grandson Eddie, a troubled teenager struggling to find his place in the world.

Each week, Eddie visits Eve, who spends most of her time asleep and unresponsive. But one day, a mysterious sound leads him to discover a box of forgotten memories hidden beneath her bed.

In an unexpected twist, a younger version of Eve springs to life and invites Eddie on a magical journey to recover a lost song she began writing for him long ago. Together, they travel through Eve’s past, encountering cherished memories, music, and moments that have shaped her life.

As the journey unfolds, Eddie discovers not only the power of song but also the profound connection between past and present, and the unspoken bond that links generations.

Blending imagination, music, and storytelling, The Very Curious Céilí explores the passage of time, the importance of family, and the transformative power of music in a deeply moving theatrical experience.
