☘️ WE’RE LOOKING FOR A FEW MORE LEGENDS TO JOIN THE MIDLETON ST. PATRICK’S DAY COMMITTEE! ☘️

Midleton’s St. Patrick’s Day isn’t just a parade, it’s one of East Cork’s biggest celebrations, a full festival, a mighty day out, and a proper gathering for young, old, and everyone in between. From the first band on the street to the last bit of craic in town, it takes a serious team behind the scenes to make it all happen… and right now, we could badly do with a few more pairs of hands (and maybe a few sound heads too).

This is a voluntary committee, so no, there’s no red carpet or million euro salary, but there is plenty of pride, laughs, community spirit, and the satisfaction of helping deliver one of the biggest days in Midleton’s calendar.
What’s involved?
☘️ Helping organise and plan the logistics of the parade and festival
☘️ Contacting local businesses, groups, bands, and services
☘️ Assisting with sponsorship, fundraising, and keeping the show on the road
☘️ Supporting general operations before and during the big day itself
☘️ Bringing fresh ideas, energy, and maybe even a bit of organised chaos
Whether you’re a master organiser, good on the phone, handy with emails, or just someone who loves Midleton and wants to help keep the tradition thriving... we’d love to have you.

What an incredible day for our community 💚

Organising an event of this scale is never easy, and as a small committee of just 5 people, it can be incredibly challenging at times. There are months of planning, problem-solving, and behind-the-scenes work that people don’t always see. But seeing the streets filled, with barriers nearly bursting with crowds, the smiles, the laughter, the cheers in a jam packed Fair Green, and the sense of community on display made every single bit of effort worthwhile.

We want to sincerely thank every single person who played a role in making this event happen. It truly takes a community to create something like this.
