Masterclass Mask-Making Workshop for Non-Exam Teens

Overview
Lumen Street Theatre is offering a masterclass mask-making workshop for teenagers aged 14 and above. This workshop promises to be imaginative, engaging, and enjoyable, led by the talented artists of Lumen.

What to Expect
Participants will immerse themselves in a hands-on experience exploring materials, colour, pattern, form, and various mask-making techniques. Each attendee will have the opportunity to design and construct a unique mask, learning sculptural methods to build individual forms and create distinctive artworks.

Workshop Techniques
Throughout the workshop, Lumen artists will demonstrate a range of mask-making techniques. Everyday materials—such as cardboard, paper, and foam—will be transformed by manipulating, folding, and crimping them into sculptural shapes. This approach encourages experimentation and recycling, making the process both creative and environmentally conscious. The workshop also helps improve manual dexterity and stimulates imagination.

Venue and Setting
The workshop will be held at Lumen HQ, surrounded by an inspiring array of masks, costumes, props, and puppets, all in preparation for Samhain 2026.

Dates and Booking

The mask-making masterclass runs from June 15th to June 19th, daily from 10am to 2pm.

To book a place, please contact [email protected].
