Our friend, Magdalena Hylak (DL Associate Artist) invites you together with Dance Limerick to the premiere of Racket, the newest and the first ensemble piece. Originally from Poland, Magdalena is a dance artist based in Ireland. She has been developing her own body of work since 2021, in which she questions the notion of performance.
In Racket, together with associate composer Lionel Kasparian, Hylak deepens her exploration into the definition and boundaries of movement and sound, and the relationship between the two. Hylak and Kasparian's collaboration over the past four years has spanned various works of experimental depth that leave no one indifferent.
Friday 11 September, 7.30 pm and Saturday 12 September, 2 pm at Dance Limerick Performance Space (St John's Church).

Our Autumn Performance Season is kicking off next week with the premiere of 'Racket' by Magdalena Hylak
In her latest and first ensemble piece, Compass Associate Artist Magdalena Hylak continues her exploration of the relationship between movement and sound, placing particular emphasis on the spaces that emerge between bodies. Moving beyond the frameworks of solo and duet, this work opens up a new field of interaction.
