3 Hot Whiskeys Films are looking for extras for Diatribe, a new feature film directed by Castleisland native Shaun O’Connor.

They are currently casting extras for a range of scenes, including:

📚 School scenes (students or anyone who can pass for a student, must be 18+)
🍽️ Restaurant scene
📖 Book launch scene
🏥 Hospital scene

Lights, camera… imagination! 🎬✨

Join the Kerry International Film Festival this Cruinniú na nÓg for a hands-on Stop Motion Animation Workshop with KIFF Programming Director Amy Louise O'Callaghan!

Children aged 9–12 will get the chance to create their very own mini movie using stop motion animation techniques. This workshop is packed with creativity, storytelling, and movie magic. 🎥🌟

Whether your child loves animation, art, filmmaking, or simply trying something new, this fun and interactive workshop is the perfect chance to explore their imagination and make something cool with new friends.

Last night we were delighted to screen The Song Cycle followed by a Q&A and intimate live performance from director, Nick Kelly.

Thank you Nick, for sharing your story, your music and time with us. It was a very special evening for everyone. A sincere thank you to Screen Ireland for supporting the KIFF Film Club and helping us bring events like this to our audience. And of course a big thank you to our fantastic audience for coming out and supporting Irish film over the past three months of the club. We are building something very special here in Killarney!

We’ll be back this October for the main festival, and the KIFF Film Club will return again in November with more screenings and special events to come!

Kerry College’s full-time CDFTV - Content Development Film & Television course has announced a new creative partnership with West Cork Film Studios to help develop original scripted content for the south west region.

As part of the collaboration, West Cork Film Studios and founder Édaín O’Donnell will help identify scripted film and television projects that may be suitable for the studio and its growing production ecosystem and producing partners. Selected projects will then be supported and developed with students through the course, giving emerging writers, directors and producers a direct link to the industry.

As part of a nationwide mini-tour, musician and filmmaker Nick Kelly will be arriving to the screening by bicycle and treating audiences to a special post-show live performance alongside the film.🚲🎸

The Song Cycle follows Nick’s unforgettable journey cycling from Dublin to Glastonbury, carrying all his gear on his bike and performing in pubs and clubs along the way.
