The August Craft Month 2026 events programme is launching next week!

With over 400 events across the island including workshops, exhibitions, maker talks and demonstrations, and over 2,500 makers already involved across 24 different craft disciplines, this year’s celebration promises to have something for everyone.

We’re excited to show you the fantastic events coming up this year.

This week we caught up with Anita Reynolds from on the phone for a chat about what August Craft Month means to them.

This year, Meath Made have exciting plans with a two-day celebration of craft, design and creativity taking place at the Swift Cultural Centre, Trim, Co. Meath.

The festival will bring together talented makers, designers and artists from across County Meath for a weekend of creativity, inspiration and community.

Visitors will be able to browse a curated craft fair featuring handmade products, meet local makers, enjoy live craft demonstrations, participate in workshops, and experience live music throughout the event.

It will offer an opportunity to discover the rich creative talent of the region and we can't wait!

⌛Applications for the 2026 August Craft Month exhibition, 𝙍𝙝𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙢, close Sunday, June 7th!

Share your creative ideas with us and follow the link below for more information about the application process.

This year's theme, 𝙍𝙝𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙢, highlights the connections between making and music, traditional or contemporary. As Belfast gets ready to host the annual Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann this summer and welcome an estimated 800,000 visitors, we are delighted to have the opportunity to share craft with a new, culturally-engaged audience!

Taking place from July 23 to August 28 at Craft NI Gallery in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter, the exhibition will be promoted on our exhibition website and benefit from marketing support from the Craft NI team.

The five exhibition winners will be selected by Marlene McKibbin, this year's guest judge, who we are delighted to welcome to Belfast this summer!
