Wednesday at 7.30pm | Tickets €7

Nick Kelly will attend the screening with his bike and guitar. He will answer audience questions and maybe even play a few tunes.

In 2022, musician and filmmaker Nick Kelly cycled from his home in Dublin to the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England - carrying his guitar, tent and all the other essentials. He was accompanied by his friend and ā€˜Dogs’ collaborator Sean Millar, who was following the same route on public transport. The pair stopped to perform in different venues along the route, making their way towards a grand finale at Glastonbury.

Nick’s charming documentary about the journey proves a celebration of sustainability in its many forms, while also allowing the filmmaker to thoughtfully reflect on his relationship with his late father. It’s a film that encourages viewers to stay in the saddle and keep pedalling, whatever the weather, traffic or gradient faced.

Pop in tomorrow between 10.30am - 1.30pm to speak to Artist Vicki O'Donoghue upstairs in the Gallery. Vicki's latest exhibition 'Fragmented Realities' is currently open for viewing in the Watergate Gallery.

Vicki O’Donoghue’s artwork explores the themes of herd mentality and polarization of todays society. This new almost invisible social fabric seems to have become the new norm! The struggle for individuality amidst the ever changing sea of conformity, is becoming increasingly uncomfortable, and difficult, to navigate. This work invites the viewers to ask: are we defined by the groups we join, or by the moments that we break away? Her narrative often uses animal, environmental, and primal influences, to answer these questions. Her work creates a space for reflection, to consider the courage of divergence and the quiet beauty that manifests from a truly individual existence. These abstract works aim to probe the silent pull of the herd, and the jarring fractures of our polarised society.
