Tonight as part of Refugee Week 2026 - Souleymane's Story

Souleymane is an asylum seeker from Guinea living in Paris, forced to join the daily rush for a bed in a homeless shelter. Unable to work legally, he earns some money by ‘renting’ someone else’s work profile on a food delivery app. He also pays a fellow Guinean to coach him in a false story seen as more likely to pass an imminent asylum review. But it’s clear Souleymane’s true home situation is taking a constant emotional toll as he navigates the streets of Paris alone.

Anchored by an extraordinary lead performance from Abou Sangaré, Souleymane's Story is a raw, compassionate and quietly devastating story about one man forced to live precariously on the fringes of society.

Once a street busker who chose to step away from the predetermined path, he fought his way to major stages, including headlining Dublin’s 3Arena for three consecutive years.

For this year’s concert, Vladimir will be joined by his sister, pianist Olga Jablokov. The programme features favourites such as Flight of the Bumblebee, Libertango, Danny Boy, My Way, and The Last Rose of Summer, alongside stories that reveal another side to the artist audiences have come to love.

Watergate is delighted to have funded and partner with acclaimed singer-songwriter Luan Parle to bring 'Songs of Our Place', a community songwriting and performance project to the Kilkenny community.

The project is designed to bring together members of the community to explore their stories, voices, and creative expression through original songs composed by participants, with the guidance of singer-songwriter Luan Parle.

As part of the project Luan has hosted a series of workshops in schools across County Kilkenny resulting in a collection of original songs that reflect the people, places, stories, and spirit of their community. The songs celebrate the diverse voices, experiences, and cultural richness of Kilkenny.

The students from Kilkenny College created a wonderful piece entitled 'This is the Place'.

After years in the 12-step programme of Alcoholics Anonymous, James becomes a sponsor to newcomer Luka. The pair bond over black coffee, trade stories and build a fragile friendship out of their shared experiences. But as Luka approaches step five – the moment of confession – dangerous truths emerge, threatening the trust on which both of their recoveries depend.

Finn den Hertog directs the provocative and entertaining production filmed live from on London’s West End.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the launch of Calendar Girls at the theatre on Thursday evening.

The atmosphere was really special and it was fantastic to see so many people there to celebrate with us. The warmth, excitement, and support in the room made it a an evening to remember.
