Promote our local area.

Assist our local schools, Glengarriff N.S and Derrycreha N.S to raise funds. Promote exercise and running within the community.

The Flying 5 returns again for 2026.

Bantry AC is excited to announce the return of The Flying 5, our five mile road race, on Sunday 19th April 2026.

If you're a seasoned runner, put the date in your diary. If you've recently started out on your running journey or are thinking about taking up running, this is a great opportunity for you to take part in a race.

We are back and ready to run. Bantry Athletic Club is looking forward to getting the new year off to a great start with our Monday evening runs starting back on 19th January. Join us if you are a walker, jogger or a runner. Come along if you are new to Bantry and interested in meeting new people while keeping fit. Or even if you just want to finally tick off your bucket list by getting fit.
We meet outside the Convention Centre every Monday at 6.45
We love to welcome new members.
