Hi Galway Badminton! 😊 My name is Orna Owens and I am a transition year student from St Vincent’s Secondary School Dundalk. My three Friends and I have recently created a dress made out of 2000 badminton shuttlecocks. Badminton is our passion and we made this dress not only as a group of friends but as a badminton team! We are currently in the final of the national competition Junk Kouture. This competition encourages young people to design dresses from recycled materials. We collected used shuttlecocks from badminton clubs all over Leinster. Our dress has attracted the attention of publications such as evoke.ie , smash badminton magazine and dailymail.ie. Part of the competition is a voting round that counts as 10% of the overall mark. We would really appreciate it if you could help us spread the word of our dress to help us achieve as many votes as possible. You can vote and share by going onto the Junk Kouture page just click into the Junk Kouture link and our creation is called ’Wingin’ It’. I will send you a photo of the dress. We would really appreciate it if you could help us in anyway!! 😃
