Bad news, folks.

During their final tests of our website, our tech team encountered some last minute gremlins. Rather than stubbornly stick to our 10am deadline and possibly put the customer’s experience at risk - we have decided it’s best to give them another 24 hours to ensure everything’s absolutely right.

Sometimes you can do everything right and tech gremlins still appear. Our full programme will be on sale at 10am tomorrow, Wed 16 Sept.

Last night in Mary Mullen's Bar, we celebrated the launch of our 2026 Festival programme

It was wonderful to be joined by Mayor of the City of Galway Helen Ogbu, and so many friends, supporters & comedy fans.

We have pulled out all the stops to make one of the finest editions of Galway Comedy Festival ever.

The incredible line-up of very funny folk can now be explored on galwaycomedyfestival.ie - with tickets going on sale this Tuesday at 10am.

Our Programme Launch was supported by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport as part of The Night-Time Economy Grassroots Venue Support Scheme 2026

We have news!

After many months of careful curation, talent scouting & cajoling: we are pleased to announce that the full programme for Galway Comedy Festival (Tues 20 - Mon 26 Oct) will be revealed next Friday 11 September at 10am, with tickets going on sale Tuesday 15 September at 10am.

To celebrate, next Thursday in Mary Mullen's Bar, we will have an hour of comedy from three artists on the programme: Andrew Maxwell, Sinéad Quinlan & Karl Spain. We hope you can join us then to get the first look at what we have in store for , before it's revealed to the world on Friday 11 September.

Tickets for this event are available from galwaycomedyfestival.ie. Tickets include a free pint of Heineken. This event is supported by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport as part of The Night-Time Economy Grassroots Venue Support Scheme 2026.
