Our Tuam Summer Tag Rugby for 2026 kicks off this Friday, May 22nd!

Tomorrow, Monday, May 18th, we will hold a registration evening at Garraun Park, H54PT62 at 7:30pm.

Teams can also train on the evening and Tag rugby shorts will ne on sale.

🏉TUAM SUMMER TAG RUGBY🏉

Tuam Summer Tag Rugby returns next week beginning with our registration/training evening on Monday, May 18th.

It takes place at 7:30pm at our club grounds, Garraun Park, H54PT62.

Teams will have the opportunity to train and beginners can get familiar with the rules.

We will have tag rugby shorts for sale on the night also.

Individuals who have no team but would like to take part in the tournament, are encouraged to come along.

Best of luck to Lyndon Jones, Connacht Rugby Participation Manager, who tomorrow, Sunday, September 7th, is undertaking a 270km walk from his home in Westport to Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin in memory of his son, Lachlan, who sadly passed away earlier this year at just twelve weeks old.

Lyndon is no stranger to Summer Tag Rugby as the past two years he has helped out at our summer tag rugby tournaments, often officiating games.

🔵🔴TUAM RFC ONE DAY SUMMER TAG RUGBY BLITZ🔴🔵

Our annual one day summer tag rugby blitz took place at Garraun Park on Sunday last.

Thanks to our five teams who took part; Funtanium, No Rucks Given, Reapy's Recruits, Table Twelve and Kilconly.

A great day's tag rugby was had with Funtanium prevailing as this year's winners, defeating No Rucks Given, in the final.

Reapy's Recruits were victorious in the Bowl over Table Twelve, winning on a 13-9 scoreline.

Thanks to our three referees on the day, Owen Lydon, Aaron O’Connor and Seàn Maughan for officiating the games.

Thanks to John Carr, our Groundsman, for having the pitch ready and marked.

Thanks to Mary and Paul Devaney for providing coffees, teas and refreshments on the day.

Thanks to Seamus Hynes and all the gang in Reapys bar for hosting us for the prize-giving and afterparty and for the finger food.

Well done to Lorna Jennings and her committee- Owen Lydon, Brian Dempsey, Pamela Devaney and Martin Nally- on another successful tournament.
