It’s with a heavy heart we share that there’ll be no Dungarvan Pride Festival this year.
For the past few years, our small group of volunteers (just five of us!), have poured our hearts into creating something truly special. A free, local Pride built on passion, solidarity, and a belief that Dungarvan deserves a space to celebrate and be seen. What we pulled off was nothing short of remarkable.
This year, there’s a pause. But Pride doesn’t disappear. We hope to see the flags still flying - in shop windows, on homes, buildings, and the Waterford City and County banners, showing that this town continues to stand with its LGBTQ+ community.
And while we won’t officially gather this summer, is just down the road and ready to welcome you.
To everyone who supported, performed, donated, organised, or simply showed up: thank you. The spirit of Dungarvan Pride is still very much alive, and we hope to see it return in full colour again soon. 🏳️🌈
