Friends,

It is with a very heavy heart that we must announce that we are unable to go ahead with Arcadian Field this year.
We were holding on to the hope that things would change but sadly, with no clear guidelines or roadmap from the relevant authorities, proceeding as we would have hoped - in person and with plenty of craic - is no longer a feasible option. If we were to follow the official suggested format of a 200 capacity socially distanced event, the festival would not be what we would want to offer you all. We are honestly gutted after exhausting all avenues to try to make this happen.

However, we will be delivering a slice of Arcadian Field to your door in late October as we plan to stage a livestream production with the help of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport & Media. We will share more of the spicy details with you soon.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of your continued support throughout all of this madness. We urge you to continue to support Irish artists and other independent ventures as we continue to plot our course through this stormy weather.

Ticket holders, we will be refunding you all in the next 5 working days.

We hope to see you for our own brand of madness again soon.

Team AF - over and out for now. x

REJOICE! The great craic comeback is coming - the Cooley way.

We're beside ourselves with excitement to announce that Arcadian Field has received vital funding through the Irish Government, Live Performance Support Scheme 2021 to go ahead this year. We're working on the details as you read this, so please bear with us, but in the meantime, spread the good word.

September 3rd & 4th, 2021.

Dear Arcadians, Arcadites and Arcadeo-curious types.

It may come as no surprise at this stage but we are sorry to announce that Arcadian Field will not go ahead this year. We had been working furiously behind the scenes to crack the enigmatic code of how to make a festival as safe as possible under the present circumstances and still fun to attend. Last year we had an attendance of 500 guests and we spent the last few months holding out in optimism that an event of that scale may be safe to run but we are where we are now hey.

All tickets will be immediately transferred to 2021. All ticket holders will be contacted via email in the coming week in case you wish to take a refund.

Right now the Irish arts and cultural sector could really do with your support. We encourage you to support Irish artists and small independent ventures like our own in any way possible during this time.

Thanks everyone for your patience and understanding. We promise to deliver a much needed dose of craic as soon as feasibly possible and we really can't wait to see you there.

Take care and stay safe until then,

The Arcadian Field Team

We love you crazy beautiful people. Stay safe, be kind; take it one day at a time, keep fit and healthy and with any luck we'll see you in August. God knows we'll all be in bad need of a mighty hooley when this blows over.

Here's to wild nights turning into savage mornings. Here's to friends becoming family. Here's to a random gathering turning into an annual pilgrimage. Here's to getting grabbed by the scruff of the neck and flung headfirst into the craic den. Here's to forgetting the manufactured cool. Here's to you for believing in us and choosing to be part of Arcadian. Here's to evolution.

We have a limited number of early bird tickets available now. Spread the good word!

Announcing The first and second Arcadian Field Literary line up:

Marianne Thibault is a french rascal of the best sort. She couldn't decide what to study, so she studied fine art and cultural studies at separate institutions at the same time. She's a painter, a video artist, a critic, a writer... Actually, it's pointless to try and define her. No-one knows what she'll do next, but you can be sure it'll be good.

Niall Griffiths is a prize-winning novelist, sometimes called the Welsh Irvine Welsh. His published novels include Grits, Sheepshagger, and Stump, which won the Wales Book of the Year award.
