Since 1926, Ireland and seven leading international teams have competed for the Aga Khan Trophy, a prize synonymous with excellence, rivalry, and unforgettable sporting moments.

As we prepare to mark the centenary, 2026 offers an opportunity to honour a remarkable legacy and celebrate the future of world-class competition.

The Dublin Horse Show has a new main stage. Welcome to Laya Arena (formerly the Main Arena).

While the RDS Dublin Horse Show remains a vibrant, campus-wide event, this new partnership ensures our main arena benefits from significant upgrades. This funding, along with the support from the Government's Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund (LSSIF), is dedicated to the completion of the new Anglesea Stand construction , which will bring improved sightlines and amenities to the heart of the Dublin Horse Show.

We are thrilled to hear that Alan Wade has been appointed to design the show jumping courses for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA. Alan’s international career began in the RDS Main Arena in 2009, and he has since become one of the most renowned and respected course designers in the world.

From European Championships to World Cups, Alan’s courses have challenged and showcased the world’s best horses and riders. We are honoured and proud to see him representing Ireland on the global stage.

Well done, Alan - your exceptional talent, passion, hard work, and dedication have earned you this fantastic opportunity! We look forward to welcoming you back in 2026 for the 100-year anniversary of the Nations Cup of Ireland for the Aga Khan. Our newly redeveloped Main Arena will be completed just in time for the RDS Dublin Horse Show, and it will be one to remember.
