Some events are about the guest.

The best events are about the room.

Looking forward to welcoming , .jackman, and a brilliant mix of founders, CEOs, senior decision-makers and sporting personalities to next Friday.

So, what’s happening with The Sporting Club Ireland?

The good news is we’re starting to see progress. What were once single-digit numbers are becoming double digits, and hopefully soon triple digits 🙏. That’s exactly the direction we want to be moving in.

The challenge is that many people come across our posts, see the events, and understandably assume we’re an events company.

We’re not.

We’re building a business community.

Sport is simply the common denominator we’re using to bring good people together.

Our aim is simple. When someone joins The Sporting Club, we want to make relevant introductions, create opportunities, and help people build meaningful business relationships. The events are just the front door.

Whether it’s a member introduction, a conversation over coffee, a lunch with a sporting guest, or a chance meeting in a room full of like-minded people, we’re trying to create an ecosystem where opportunities happen naturally.

After all, one introduction can genuinely be gold dust.

Every day we’re getting a little closer.

And speaking of events, Harry Redknapp is now just 10 days away.

So if you happen to be at a loose end on Friday 12th June and fancy spending an afternoon in the company of business leaders, founders, decision-makers, sporting personalities and some very good people, we’d love to see you there.🔥

What is The Sporting Club Ireland? And what’s the plan?

We’re a business community.

But we’re using sport as the common denominator because sport has a unique ability to bring people together. Show me a household that doesn’t have some connection to sport in one way or another🤷‍♂️

The model has been hugely successful in the UK. We’re following that blueprint, but adding an Irish twist.

So what’s the plan?

Create a thriving ecosystem full of good people and full of opportunity.

👉 Events
From flagship dinners with Harry Redknapp, Johnny Sexton and Peter O’Mahony, to business breakfasts, podcast-style evenings and members-only experiences.

We have a few unique concepts we will be bringing to life very soon🙏.

👉 Membership
A platform that allows members across Ireland, the UK, Spain and beyond to build relationships and explore opportunities.

👉 Business Matchmaking
This is where we want to build our USP.

Tell us the people or companies you’d love to meet over the next 12 months and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

Our first hire will be solely focused on connecting our members with the right people.

Sometimes that leads to business.
Sometimes partnerships.
Sometimes collaborations.
Sometimes opportunities that wouldn’t have happened otherwise.

👉 Club Lounges
Over time, we want to create thriving locations across Ireland where members can meet, work, entertain and do business. Irish members also have access to all the UK and Spanish Club lounge’s.

👉 Member Benefits & Partnerships
Hotels, restaurants, lifestyle brands, hospitality, experiences and strategic partnerships that create genuine value for members.

Ultimately, the goal is simple:

✔️ Help people grow their networks.
✔️ Help small businesses grow.
✔️ Help bigger businesses thrive.
✔️ Give athletes another platform.
✔️ Create opportunities.

And hopefully build a community where people do business together, support one another and enjoy the journey along the way.

That’s the blueprint.

That’s the plan.

🇮🇪 Following a successful UK model, with an Irish twist.

The room is really starting to take shape now for Harry Redknapp on June 12th at Clontarf Castle 🤝

A very strong mix forming across property, construction, finance, legal, professional services, wealth management etc, alongside a lot of founders, CEOs and business owners.

Thankfully, The Sporting Club Ireland is starting to make real strides now and, more importantly, we’re beginning to see genuine business being done through the network as well.

Because the reality is, the guest speaker matters… but the room matters just as much.

Great rooms. Amazing people. Real connections.

A few tables and individual seats still remain if anyone would like to join us for what should be a brilliant afternoon at Clontarf Castle Hotel.

There’s obviously a commercial side to building a business or community.

But, if possible why not try build something that can also do some good along the way for those less fortunate?

in the UK has raised over £3 million for charity over the last 8 years, including through Covid, which is genuinely incredible.

Now here in Ireland, we are still very much a bootstrapped early stage business 💯

We’re building this thing day by day, event by event and introduction by introduction, but momentum is strong.

But one thing we’ve always said internally is this:

If people are coming together through sport, business, networking and hospitality anyway, why not try create some positive impact at the same time?

We are incredibly proud to have supported in a small way some incredible organisations:

• Ireland

Our upcoming events with and will support.

That’s why we’ve set up affiliate partnerships around upcoming events where 15% of ticket sales goes directly to the charities involved. It might not be groundbreaking or life changing, but we are trying to do our small bit as well.

Because the reality is, almost everybody is within touching distance of somebody who has suffered, or is suffering, whether personally or through family and friends.

You might think you have 99 problems, but when your health, or the health of someone you love is taken away, everything else suddenly becomes very small.

So if we can help in some small way while building this business, then why wouldn’t we?

To everyone who has attended an event, bought a ticket, supported us, donated, shared a post or simply spread the word, thank you genuinely.

Because without even realising it, you are helping support these organisations too ❤️

Sport is simply incredible.

Nobody is ever too far away from it. Whether you are sports mad yourself, your partner is, your kids are, your family are… sport is never more than a couple of feet away from people’s lives. And weekends like this are exactly why.

We were absolutely delighted to see do almost the impossible with Celtic this season. Coming in, steadying things, having to come back in again to tidy things up, and then winning the league on the final day. Incredible really.

Martin has been a great friend to The Sporting Club, to , and he was our very first dinner guest back in November and is just a true gentleman.

Another thing we absolutely loved seeing was over 31,000 people attending the women’s rugby game at the . Women’s rugby is on a serious trajectory. The standard is incredible to watch, Ireland are closing the gap, and you can feel the momentum building around the game.

What is especially brilliant to see was the connection between the players and the fans. You have so many household names now, and you can already see the hero status these women have with kids and supporters, and that is massive for the future of the sport.

And lastly, winning only their second Leinster football championship after such a remarkable turnaround. Proper fairytale stuff. It was brilliant seeing John Heslin come into a refreshed young side and finally get his medal after battling away for so long. Great too to see Ray Connellan get one. That is a serious team.

Obviously Dublin will come again, but it was nice to see Westmeath get over the line. And congratulations as well to on finally getting the Ulster title.

Also to Aaron Rai on winning on the PGA Tour. Another brilliant story and another reminder of what persistence, hard work and resilience can lead to at the very highest level. called it.

Sport. It’s simply incredible.🔥🔥🔥❤️

180+ professionals, business leaders & recognisable sporting faces… and counting 👀⚽️

Friday June 12th at Clontarf Castle with Redknapp, the day after the World Cup kicks off.

But truthfully, the guest is only part of it.

The real value is always in the room 🤝

The conversations.
The introductions.
The relationships.
The opportunities.

Sporting Club Ireland is all about curated rooms and bringing good people together through sport and business.

Yes, there’ll be plenty of laughs, football stories, hospitality and entertainment.

But there’ll also be:
• Business development
• Networking
• Client entertainment
• Real commercial opportunity

And one introduction can genuinely be gold dust.

We’re also moving many of our flagship events towards lunchtime formats going forward.

Still business.
Still networking.
Still hospitality.

Just without always taking over people’s evenings.

Harry Redknapp.
Clontarf Castle.
Friday June 12th.

This should be a brilliant afternoon 🤝
