Some people collect memories. Some collect lovers. The Magpie collects diamonds—or at least, she would, if she could get her hands on them. A vintage shop girl with expensive taste, she’s all silk, pearls, and carefully crafted illusion. She talks about jewelry like it’s sacred, but don’t ask where she’s from—is that a hint of an accent? She’ll just smile, tilt her head, and let the question hang.

Big dreams. Big cities. And a past she’s polished smooth. She’s learned how to blend in, how to dazzle, how to disappear. But some habits are hard to shake… and she’s never been particularly good at keeping her hands to herself.

Keep your diamonds close.
