This page will gather and list open-water swimming events in Ireland, especially those which are friendly to beginners, triathletes and wetsuits. Please let us know of any such events and we'll be happy to post them. Please let us know the distance of your event and if wetsuits are allowed as this is crucial to inexperienced swimmers. Note: we are not the organiser of any events, we're just posting information.

It's that time of year, the water is getting warm(er) and more and more people are getting back into the water. Time to challenge yourself and do a good deed at the same time....Register for the Atlantic Lifeboat Swim, Saturday June 25th.

Two swim distances a 400m Try an Open Water Swim and the main swim is 2km.

The Atlantic Lifeboat Swim is a fundraising swim with all proceeds going to RNLI, Galway Lifeboat Station and Oranmore Maree Coastal Search Unit.

Eventhbrite is live, the swim website is still being updated and will be live in the coming days, but all the information is on eventbrite.
