👋🏽Hello musicians!

We are pleased to invite applications for its 2026 Musician Internship Programme. This paid opportunity offers emerging musicians the chance to work alongside members of Crash.

This internship offers a side-by-side mentorship opportunity through rehearsals, workshops, and performance. Designed to support artistic development and provide insight into professional ensemble practice, the internship combines hands-on experience with dedicated mentorship in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

In 2023 Crash Ensemble published its Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy and Action Plan. Included in this policy is a commitment to deliver a mentoring programme with paid internship opportunities.

Crash are committed to policies supporting equality and inclusion and we welcome and encourage applications representative of the ten characteristics as outlined in our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy - age, disability, gender, marital/civil status, family status, race, religion/politics, sexual orientation, membership of the travelling community and socio-economic status.

Congratulations to our friends in Kilkenny Arts Festival on their full programme announcement today!

There's a little bit of NMD26 sprinkled in there with

Crash Ensemble performing Donnacha Dennehy's Grammy-winning Land of Winter on 7th August
and
Gare St Lazare Ireland's opera The Last Tape on 14th & 15th August, which some of you may have seen the work-in-progress presentation of, on Sunday afternoon of NMD26.

So if you missed those performances in April, here's your chance to catch them again in the Marble City!

National Concert Hall, Dublin, Ireland announced their 2026/2027 Season this morning and as part of that, the first of our concerts for New Music Dublin 2027 has been announced! 🥳

On Friday 9th April 2027, National Symphony Orchestra Ireland present two major Irish premieres united by reflections on nature, time and the forces that shape our natural world, alongside a world premiere commissioned by National Symphony Orchestra Ireland and New Music Dublin, by Irish composer Ed Bennett.

RTÉ Concert Orchestra performed works by Jane O’Leary and Kevin O’Connell, under the Baton of Gavin Moloney. 🎼

The programme featured Kevin O’Connells ‘Paradiso’, a listening to Dante’s third cantica for soprano, baritone, chorus and orchestra. 👏🏼

Cór na nÓg youth choir performed: ‘LOVE THE EARTH’ - a title and theme aiming to awaken, and reawaken, an awareness among them and their audience of the sacredness of the living Earth in today’s world. 🌍

RTÉ Concert Orchestra performed Kevin O’Connell’s ‘Paradiso’, preceded by Jane O’Leary’s ‘Fanfare: From 2RN to RTÉ - Celebrating 100 Years’, composed in celebration of RTÉ 100, marking a century since the states first public radio transmission. 📻
