After a fantastic three weeks of screenings across the country, the final screening of takes place tonight (Thu 30th April) at Garter Lane Arts Centre. And it's a big one: the legendary dystopian anime classic AKIRA.

Today (Wed 29th April) is the second last day of ... but we've still got some great films in Waterford and Wexford before we close out the festival.

Our second and final film at Wexford Arts Centre is the emotional and music-filled anime THE COLORS WITHIN, screening tonight at 8pm.

Meanwhile, horror fans will be well served at Garter Lane Arts Centre with THE CURSE - a creepy yet darkly comic throwback to classic J-horror. Screens tonight at 7.30pm.

Japanese Film Festival 2026 lands in Waterford and Wexford tonight, kicking off the final few days of screenings!

First up at Garter Lane Arts Centre is the acclaimed KOKUHO tonight (April 28th, w/ Waterford Film For All), followed by J-horror THE CURSE (April 29th) and the iconic anime AKIRA (April 30th).

At Wexford Arts Centre we're delighted to screen Yasujiro Ozu's AN AUTUMN AFTERNOON (April 28th) - widely considered one of the greatest films of all time - followed by the charming anime THE COLORS WITHIN.
