After yesterday's success I set off in high spirits this morning to cover 80 miles into Buncrana. However, disaster struck outside Killybegs when the derailleur broke. So glad I didn't fall off and thankfully the bike is currently being fixed by Adrian and the fantastic guys at LK Bikes in Letterkenny. Thanks McConvey Cycles and Leigh Bell-Roberts for recommending them.πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ

My first ever century and best average speed ever!! The weather was very kind today, just a little light rain.
Have to also say, the road surfaces all week have been a pleasure. Wish I could have rolled them up and taken them home (even the hard shoulders would be good) 😁
Arrived in Donegal Town at 5.30pm and looking forward to catching up with some old friends at the Mill Park Hotel this evening. 🍻

Hoping to do 105 miles today from Westport to Donegal Town.
Hopefully the weather will be kinder than yesterday's cross winds and driving rain.
I originally planned this as a touring staycation for my 60th birthday as we couldn't go away last December.
I wasn't even a road cyclist then and only joined Carrick Cycling Club in the summer and I'm now doing Mizen to Malin, as a 7 day challenge in support of the Northern Ireland Children to Lapland and Days to Remember Trust, NI Children To Lapland Trust. πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ
