Clean Up Postponed - Please Share
Unfortunately due to more bad weather forecast with a yellow wind and rain warning for tomorrow morning right up until 2pm we have regretfully decided to postpone our Big Spring Clean once again. We will let you know when we have a new date for this litter pick. We are disappointed not to be able to go ahead with this clean up but safety is our priority and all our volunteers would love a fair to middling day to get the job done. Please share this information. 💦💨🌬️☔️✨

St Patrick's Day Parade Donegal Town Organisers are most grateful for the help and assistance of Daytona Heavy Haulage for platform, Ashtree Garden Centre for flower display, Donegal Waste & Recycle for extra bins, LF Tool Hire for transport, Donegal Tyre Centre Ltd for use of the van, Donegal Hire & Sell for hoist, Eddie from Specsavers for sponsorship of trophies, Mark Sweeny and all at Donegal County Council for continued support and sponsorship of barriers, Adam & Darren Jarvis for tractor and trailer to collect barriers. Sincere thanks to all of the above who along with a good team of volunteers gave time to lend a hand and made life much easier over the St Patrick's Day Parade Donegal Town preparations, during the event and tidy up. Your help insured the smooth and safe running of the parade which made it enjoyable for all. Thanks so much.☘️☘️☘️

Massive Congratulations to Scoil an Linbh Íosa, Killymard who were awarded Overall Winner in this years St Patrick's Day Parade Donegal Town with there fantastic theme "The World Cup".
This was a massive entry with 203 students and 150 adults making a very colourful, very energetic, very excited 353 Football fans swarming into Donegal Town to scoop the top award. Well done to you all, just brilliant.

"After missing last year’s parade due to the phenomenally successful Lip Sync Battle, Scoil an Linbh Íosa, Killymard is back with a bang this St Patrick’s Day! This year’s float celebrates the World Cup, proudly showcasing flags from around the world to reflect inclusivity and the wonderfully multicultural community that Donegal Town has become. Killymard will bring a true carnival atmosphere to the parade, with vibrant drumming by David Murray. Joining him on the float are Ireland U-17 international Josh Cullen, while the role of referee is taken on by Donegal GAA star and 5th class Teacher Hugh McFadden. For an interactive twist, the float also features a spinning wheel posing the big question on everyone’s lips: “Will Ireland qualify for the World Cup?” — sure to spark plenty of debate and excitement along the route! ⚽🎡
Adding a splash of colour and fun in a fabulous parrot costume is our very own principal, Ann Reid.
It promises to be a vibrant, joyful celebration of sport, culture and community spirit — Killymard style! 👏👏👏🥰

What a treat to have Killian Band Inver preform in the St Patrick's Day Parade Donegal Town once again. We are so lucky to have so much musical talent in our local Marching Bands and great commitment by members to keep the tradition alive for generations. Long may it continue. 👏👏👏

We were delighted to have so many vintage/classic lorries and cars take part in this years St Patrick's Day Parade Donegal Town. They are always a crowd pleaser and never fail to tug at the heart strings. Thanks for cherishing your beautiful vehicles and coming along to share them with us. 👏👏🥰🚜🚗

The Glebe National School keeping it very effective in their classic red and white stripe theme of "Where's Wally?"
60 Students/teachers/parents participated from the Glebe National School, instantly recognisable in their iconic red and white stripes, bobble hats and glasses. ‘Where’s Wally?’ Is of course this imaginative and impactful theme, after the timeless children’s book series. But don’t stop at Wally, see if you can spot Wilma, Wenda, Wizard Whitebeard, Odlaw and Woof the dog too! Well done all.
