Its about that time of year !! The 4TH Annual Southcoast Indoor Rowing Tournament in West Cork is on the Horizon. No pain, lets train , to gain the Southcoast Indoor title. In 2013 RRC hosted its first Indoor Rowing Tournament. It was so sucessful, we decided to make it an annual event ! Each year our own members train & attend the Irish Indoor Rowing Championships on an annual basis with a few s

uccesses along the way too . So here in RRC we strive to ensure a professional level of racing ,with the famous toture machine.

A huge thank you to all of our competitors who participated in our tournament yesterday. Especially those from Whitegate & Blackrock Rowing Clubs who made the long journey from East Cork. Regatta 2018 takes place on Saturday July 28th. Street races begin at 3pm. Regatta Treasure Trail at 3.30pm (3 clues, 1 clue announced each hour, find the hidden treasures). The water events will commence at 5.30pm as well as the yawl races. The Lifeboat display will go ahead at 7pm.

We had 2 new Irish records set in the J15 Male and female categories.

Huge congratulations to both Rohan Ager from Courtmacsherry Rowing Club and Amy Barry from Whitegate Rowing Club who beat longstanding records for the 4 minute time trial. You can view the records on the concept2.co.uk website in the training section. Certificates are on their way.
