The next High Performance & Green Hunter qualifiers take place this Monday June 1st as part of the IPS Western Area Summer Show at Duffy’s Equestrian. As well as these classes there is an array of ridden classes for Connemaras.

Ballinalee Connemara Pony Show 2026

Entries are now open for this year's Ballinalee Connemara Pony Show. Taking place 14th June, High Performance & Green Hunter qualifers will be held alongside a host of in-hand and ridden classes.

Reminder that successful combinations that progress to Phase 2 of the Green Hunter, ponies will be ridden by the ride judge.

3 Months to go until we kick off the 2026 Connemara Pony Show - Clifden. Celebrating 101years, the Show will take place from 18th - 21st of August at the Clifden Showgrounds.

As work contuines behind the scenes, we look forward to releasing this year's class schedule and opening entries at the begining of June.

The next quailifier date for the Clifden High Performance and Green Hunter finals will run as part of the Irish Pony Society Western Area Summer Show on June 1st at Duffy's Equestrian Centre.

LOOSE JUMPING QUALIFIERS 2026 DATES & SPECIAL 3 YEAR OLD SALE INVITATIONS 🗓️

Loose jumping qualifiers for the 2026 All Ireland Connemara Pony Three-Year-Old Final at the Connemara Pony Show-Clifden will take place at two venues this July. Top 15 ponies from each qualifier will secure their place for the final which will take place on the 18th of August 2026 at the Clifden Show Ground. Entry fee to the final is €40.

NEW SPECIAL SALE FOR 3-Year-Old Connemara Ponies

This September the Connemara Pony Sales will run a new Special Sale for 3 Year Old Connemara Ponies. As part of this new initiative the top 10 ponies from each Loose Jumping qualifier will be invited to participate in the New Special Sale taking place on Saturday 19th September 2026 in conjunction with the September Sale.

Irish Pony Society Western Area QUALIFIERS | June 1st

Entries are now open for the next qualifiers for this year's High Performance & Green Hunter classes. Taking place as part of the IPS Western Area Summer Show in Duffy's Equestrian Centre on June 1st, entries can be made on www.itsplainsailing.com/org/ipswest.

Dual Championship winner Lauren Kerins reflects on her journey with 2018 Ridden and 2025 Working Hunter Connemara Pony Show Clifden Champion Lankill Lad (Dunally Lad x Dolly).

Bred by the Hughes family, she shares the pair’s experiences at the Clifden Showgrounds with her mother Tracey against the picturesque countryside of Co.Mayo.

The 101st Connemara Pony Show - Clifden will take place at the Clifden Showgrounds 18th-21st August.
