Carrickmacross Street Festival

The town of Carrickmacross is in mourning again today with the very sad news that Kieran Roche has passed away after a short illness. Everyone in the town knew Kieran for all the great work he did - he was one of those community leaders who rolled up his sleeves and made the town a better place to live, work and raise a family. Kieran was a member of our committee and volunteered his time every year to help make sure our Festival was a success. His work with the Carrickmacross Tidy Towns also made sure those visiting for our festival left with a very positive view of our community.

Our Committee passes on our deepest condolences to Kieran’s family, friends and the wider community. May he rest in peace - ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilis.

It was with great sadness that we heard the news this morning that our former committee member and friend, Mark Rooney, passed away overnight. Mark was a brilliant volunteer for our committee and worked so hard whenever he was asked.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends as they come to terms with this devastating news. May Mark rest in peace, ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilis.

Carrickmacross Street Festival presents ‘Rewind through the Decades’ our first ever UV Glow Party!

Sunday 2nd August (Bank Holiday weekend) at 8pm in Callans of the Bridge.

€10 entry at the gate and UV body-paint will be provided. Music by Milestone DJs - all monies raised will go towards our 2027 Festival.
