Bray Jazz Festival

Bray Jazz Festival Bray Jazz Festival is an international boutique music event taking place on the southern fringes of Dublin, on the May Bank Holiday weekend, each year.

"One of the very best small jazz festivals in Europe" - All About Jazz
"The connoisseur's jazz festival" - The Irish Times

Of course we couldn't comment... far too modest! The event has hosted performances by a broad range of leading international jazz artists, including Dave Douglas, John Scofield, Eliane Elias, Tomasz Stanko, Tord Gustavsen, Stefon Harris, Steve Coleman, Louis Sclavis and Rich

ard Galliano. Bray Jazz has also provided a platform for the presentation in Ireland of exciting new talent in contemporary jazz, and has showcased Irish concerts featuring players such as Mathias Eick, Gwilym Simcock, Marius Neset and Ambrose Akinmusire, amongst others. Bray Jazz has been described as "one of the very best small jazz festivals in Europe."

Owing to circumstances beyond our control we regrettably have had to cancel this weekend's performance by Mongolian singer ENJI. Our apologies to all of those who had booked tickets for this performance. Refunds have been issued. We were very much looking forward to hosting this remarkable Mongolian singer's first Irish show. Maybe in the future...

Bray Jazz is delighted to partner with the Wicklow Artists Salon as they host 'In the Moment,' a workshop with three of Ireland's leading jazz improvisers, as a part of this weekend's festival programme.

Conversations on creativity and improvisation will up for discussion, when some of Wicklow's leading arts practitioners join musicians Ronan Guilfoyle, Matthew Jacobson and Chris Guilfoyle for a three-hour workshop at Bray Town Hall this Saturday morning, from 10am to 1pm.

The event is free to attend but ticketed. If you're interesting in joining the discussions and an exclusive mini-gig, please register your interest by booking at: www.mermaidartscentre.ie/whats-on/events/wicklow-artists-salon-16

We can’t wait to welcome Yurodny back to Bray Jazz on Sunday 3rd in the Festival’s brand new late night venue!
First formed by saxophonist Nick Roth in 2007, Yurodny throw open the borders between jazz, Balkan groove and Eastern-European folk - spinning wild instrumental journeys through klezmer, gypsy rhythms, and the avant-garde.
Now, following a period of hibernation Yurodny are reforming under Roth for this special 25th anniversary Bray Jazz show!
